4 Shot Outside Waterbury Apartments During Dispute, 1 Critical

Four men were found shot outside a Connecticut apartment building following a dispute between the group.

The incident occurred in New Haven County around 7 p.m. on Wednesday at 50 Mitchell Ave., in Waterbury.

According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, the four were found shot by responding officers on a report of shots fired.

Two of the victims, ages 19 and 25, were treated at the hospital and released. A third 19-year-old remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, Bessette said.

A fourth 21-year-old victim is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, Bessette said.  

Bessette said a preliminary investigation indicates that this was an isolated incident, which involved a dispute between individuals that led to the shooting incident. 

This incident remains under investigation.
